SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Liquid metal is fed via submerged nozzles 2 of intermediate ladle 1 into crystalliser 3 that comprises two reciprocating vertical walls 4, two revolving walls 5 with their top part inclined, and central core 8. Metal reached preset level and crust formed, crystalliser 3 is cut in to squeeze metal crust on crystalliser walls and central core. Besides, billet inner surface is sized. Inclined top part of two revolving walls 5 have ledges 6 with vertical surfaces 7 to squeeze additionally metal crust. Said central core 8 and ledges 6 are made up of heat tubes.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and quality.
