SUBSTANCE: invention refers to a compound of formula IV: , where: R¹ represents Cl or F; R³ represents H, Me, Et, OH, MeO-, EtO-, HOCH₂CH₂O-, HOCH₂C(Me)₂O-, (S)-MeCH(OH)CH₂O-, (R)-HOCH₂CH(OH)CH₂O-, cyclopropyl-CH₂O-, HOCH₂CH₂-, , , , , or , R⁷ represents methyl or ethyl which are optionally substituted with one or more F; R⁸ represents Br, I or SMe; and R⁹ represents H, C₁-C₄alkyl, Cl or CN where said alkyl it optionally substituted with one or more groups independently chosen from F or CN provided when a) R¹ represents F, R⁸ represents Br, R⁹ represents H, and R⁷ represents either Me, or Et, then R³ cannot represent HOCH₂CH₂O; b) R¹ represents F, R⁸ represents I, R⁹ represents H, and R³ represents MeO then R⁷ cannot represent Me; c) R¹ represents F, R⁸ represents Me, R⁹ represents H, and R³ represents HOCH₂CH₂O then R⁷ cannot represent Me; and d) R¹ represents F, R⁸ represents Br, R⁹ represents H, and R³ represents cyclopropyl-CH₂O then R⁷ cannot represent Me, as well as to the use of said compound in preparing a drug for treating hyperproliferative disorder or an inflammatory state and to a pharmaceutical composition which inhibits MEK.
