FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroslag casting of special-purpose tubes and may be used in space and aircraft engineering, petroleum industry and power engineering wherein essential tubes are used. In compliance with proposed method, electroslag smelting, accumulation and thermostatting of liquid metal are effected in thermal module while metal teeming into crystalliser with mandrel combined with said thermal module is carried out after removing plugs from thermal module teeming holes. Note here that tubular billet is formed in annular shaping space between crystalliser and mandrel wherein liquid metal is fused bottom plate seed, while extraction from crystalliser with mandrel is varied out with bottom plate moving vertically downward.
EFFECT: power savings, higher rate of melting and casing and, higher quality of metal, expanded process performances.
