FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to welding and welding device. Welding is performed in short-circuiting electric arc. Alternating electric arc is generated between welding wire and primary material, welding cycle making t2 and short-circuit phase with mean duration of t1 in welding cycle limits. Relation of short-circuit phase mean duration t1 to welding cycle duration t2 is continuously measured to keep it at required level by adjustments of arc voltage during welding. Proposed device comprises electric arc generation appliances to generate it between welding wire and primary material, welding cycle making t2 and short-circuit phase with mean duration of t1 in welding cycle limits, appliances to adjust arc voltage or wire feed speed so that relation of short-circuit phase mean duration t1 to welding cycle duration t2 is continuously kept at required level by adjustments of arc voltage during welding.
EFFECT: higher stability of electric arc.
