FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to arc welding (versions) whereat welding process is changed. Performed welding process is switched over to the next welding process by short-circuiting of consumable welding wire and blank. Welding stability is ensured by feeding welding wire 9 further in feed direction during definite time interval 32 by short-circuiting. Then, at threshold 34 of welding current (I) welding wire is driven in opposite direction for starting the next welding process.
EFFECT: higher stability of welding.
