FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for dehydrogenation and pyrolysis of hydrocarbon material in the presence of water vapour obtained from water exposed to electromagnetic field in the microwave range. The water is prepared by adding inorganic compounds in form of salts and/or oxides of metals.
EFFECT: high output of end products compared to output when using ordinary water.
