FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a photocatalytic bitumen road surface, relating to the type that determines an outer surface (1a) of a motorway (6), consisting of the following components: a bitumen base (2) related to the type with internal drainage, characterised with the thickness in the range from 10 mm to 60 mm and having gaps (5), at least, near to the surface. In the specified gaps (5), going from the surface (1a) right to the depth of at least 1 mm, a thin coating is applied from a cement mortar, which contains the following components: cement, quartz sand as filler, water and the following additives: photocatalytic material suitable to maintain photocatalytic reactions, representing a titanium dioxide, in amounts in the range from 2.0% to 5.0% (wt/wt) per amount of the specified cement mortar (7), a plasticising additive suitable to liquefy the specified cement mortar (7) and containing a melamine formaldehyde resin, in amounts in the range from 1% to 4% (wt/wt) per amount of the specified cement mortar (7), and an amorphous silicon dioxide suitable to give compactness to the specified cement mortar, in amounts at the level from 5% to 15% (wt/wt), per amount of the specified cement mortar (7).
EFFECT: road surface with photocatalytic effect, which is characterised with properties of a bitumen asphalt and chemical advantages of alkaline base, has high durability.
