FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: when determining sea ice drift, tracking of their movement is performed with display of movement path of sea ices on the monitor. Tracking of movement of sea ices is performed relative to sea base point with specified coordinates by determining the change of coordinates of floes, which are obtained by means of drifter equipped with transmitter-receiver of satellite navigation system and hydroacoustic navigation system. When movement path of ices is displayed on monitor, potentially dangerous floes are determined, and approach distance and time allowance is determined in order to take the decision on location of potentially dangerous floe.

EFFECT: improving measurement fidelity.
