FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, namely, to shock absorbers. Proposed crush-box device serves to absorb forces directed at the angle to lengthwise axis. Proposed device comprises one deformable element to absorb force directed along main direction by deformation and/or absorbing shift. Besides brush-box comprises device to limit deformation of aforesaid deformable element that is secured on one end of the latter. Said crush-box comprises support element secured opposite end of deformable element to accommodate it and be jointed to other structural elements. Besides, crush-box comprises fastener to connect deformable element with shock-absorbing device and/or support element. Said fastener has one deformable element fastening zone with directing zone coming off it. In collision, said directing zone allows deformable element to move from fastening zone along directing zone in one of additional directions diverting from main direction. Automotive shock absorbing system arranged at automobile front incorporates crush-box mounted at the point of shock most probable origination.
EFFECT: reduced automobile deformation in collision at relatively low speeds.
