FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Protective bumper comprises box-cross-section beam attached to car body. Said straight beam features length approximating to car width. Bumper features box-like cross-section with clearances on sides wherein fitted are two stacks with interference at crimp tops. Every said stack is composed of two- or multilayer, multispan corrugated stacks. Said multilayer corrugated stacks are composed of steel, forged, finished copper-plated tapes between which fitted are finished copper-plated tapes of thickness larger than that of corrugated tape. Corrugated tape stack rest on smooth tape laid there between by crimp tops, that is, corrugated tapes of every stack are interconnected. Stack length is selected so that bumper, beam body and smooth tape both ends have free sections exceeding magnitude of extreme crimp top. Beam body ends extending beyond the bumper feature section-shaped cross-section and follow, in plan, car contour till wheel set. Distance between beam body end and car contour L measured in perpendicular to car axis is selected acceptable in design terms. Bumper beam is composed of car frame front beam or car frame rear beam. Stack of alternating corrugated stacks and smooth tapes is fitted in clearance between the bumper and beam body. Stack parameters and interference over crimp tops are selected to rule out plastic strain of crimps.
EFFECT: decreased car weight.
