FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry, particularly, to bumpers. Proposed device comprises bumper beam, bumper, girder body, corrugated packages made up of corrugated strips. Bands and means to fasten bumper to vehicle body are fitted between said packages. Said fastening means is made up of clips welded to bumper to pass through holes in girder body top and bottom walls. Dampers of lateral impacts are secured on girder body ends, not side-load type. Said dampers occupy not only straight ends of girder body but end round-nose sections. Damper end flanges are cut through such width that distance from damper body to vehicle body surface equals or exceeds distance L between girder body end bent toward vehicle side and vehicle body surface. Said damper comprises elasto-hysteretic element, parts to lock the latter and fasteners.

EFFECT: better operating performances, ease of production and lower costs.
