FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, oncology, and can be used for photothermolysis of cancer cells. For this purpose colloidal solution of mixture of glycerol and physiological solution with gold nanoparticles is introduced. Cancer cells are irradiated with resonance pulse laser radiation. Gold nanoparticles represent gold nanoshells or nanorods. Plasmon resonance of nanoparticles has spectral maximum of absorption in area of biotissure transparency at wavelength 750-1200 nm. Concentration of nanoparticles is selected in range 5·107 -5·109 cm-3 depending on tumour location depth. Ratio of glycerol with physiological solution is selected in such a way that index of solution refraction at the wavelength of resonance laser irradiation was the nearest to index of irradiated tissue refraction. Irradiation of cancer cells is carried out by laser beam with irradiation wavelength coinciding with spectral area of plasmon resonance. For local destruction of cancer cells irradiation is performed by sequence of laser pulses with laser pulse duration in range 1mcs-1ms with minimal porosity two and more. Power density constitutes not more than 10 W/cm.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to carry out photothermolysis of volumetric tumours on surface and in the depth of biotissues with minimal damage to normal cells.
