FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: series of samples is prepared from a single sample of forest flammable materials taken in a forest prior to tests, besides, the sample of the forest flammable material during taking is placed into a tight reservoir for maximum reduction of moisture losses from it, prior to the tests the sample is stored in the same tight reservoir at the temperature that is close to the temperature in the forest at the moment of sampling, prior to the test each sample is made of the forest flammable material sample under temperature conditions of the sample storage, after the tests of all samples in one series from one sample of forest flammable materials, the results of measurements of time and temperature of ignition are exposed to statistic modelling to detect laws of dynamics twice, at first in the form of straight mathematical function of burning temperature change depending on time of ignition, and then in the form of reverse mathematical function of ignition time measurement depending on the temperature of the sample material burning.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of forest flammable material samples tests and expansion of functional capabilities when determining a group of not easily combustible and combustible solid substances and materials on the OTM instrument for experimental definition of combustible solid substances and materials ignition concerning forest flammable materials, also on samples from piles of chips and from forest litter together with soil.
