FIELD: testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of determining the combustibility indicators of protective materials in laboratory conditions. The method for determining fire resistance of protective coatings includes preparation for testing, testing and estimation of the results. The ignition temperature, the weight loss, the duration of burning of the protective coating, the distance from the coating to the fire, and the change in colour of the tested coating during the test period are determined in the course of testing.
EFFECT: invention improves the quality of fire resistance testing of protective coatings by determining a larger amount of combustibility indicators.
