FIELD: woodworking industry.

SUBSTANCE: method is implemented in vitro with tests of samples of firewood and wood samples of combustible materials, especially samples from piles of sawdust, and flammable forest floor materials, for experimental determination of group of solid combustible substances and materials according to actual temperature of combustion. Measurement of combustion temperature is carried out with respect to combustion time of sample from sample introduction into the chamber of device type "ОТМ" till generation of ash substances, at that after reaching the maximum temperature the discrete or continuous time measurements of combustion and the corresponding self-combustion temperature are continued till completion of burning and subsequent cooling of ash from a sample, and after the test termination the results of discrete or continuous measurements of combustion temperature with respect to the time scale are subjected to statistical modeling to identify trend line and additional wave consistent patterns of alteration of temperature combustion thereto depending on the time of combustion.

EFFECT: improvement of tests accuracy, expansion of compatibility options of the method for assessment of flammability of forest and wood materials and their ability to support forest fires.
