FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for conversion of three-phase alternating voltage to single-phase alternating voltage of the same frequency with uniform and arbitrary load value of phases of power line, for the purpose of being used for example for electrification of railways on alternating current, electric power supply to lighting networks, single-phase loads of various nature and function. Converter of three-phase alternating voltage includes source of three-phase alternating voltage, for example three-phase transformer the primary winding of which is star connected to neutral terminal and connected to phase and neutral input terminal, and secondary winding is star connected to neutral terminal; besides, output terminals include two current-balancing reactors with intermediate terminal of winding of each one, extreme terminals of one winding of which are connected to terminal of secondary phase winding of source and to its neutral terminal, extreme terminals of the other winding are connected to terminals of other secondary phase windings of the source, and intermediate terminals of both windings are connected to output terminals. Value of resultant single-phase voltage is equal to phase voltage of source of three-phase alternating voltage, for example to phase voltage of star connected secondary winding of three-phase transformer of any design. There is no need for additional second three-phase transformer at the substation because the installed three-phase transformer without changing its flow diagram can supply the power not only to the main single-phase equipment, but also to auxiliary three-phase equipment. Besides, diagram of converter excludes the need for selection as to power of single-phase loads when they are connected to phase windings of three-phase transformer.
EFFECT: power is supplied to all single-phase loads from one and the same pair of converter terminals.
