SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a method of configuring values of parametres for cell repeated sampling from a service cell to a neighbouring cell in a wireless communication system. The method involves receiving a first message from the network over a first control channel, where the first message includes values of a first group of cell sampling parametres, assigning pre-stored cell sampling parametre values for the service cell to a values of a second group of cell sampling parametres if the first message does not include values of the second group of cell sampling parametres, and calculating values of cell repeated sampling parametres using values of the first and second groups of cell sampling parametres.
EFFECT: improved repeated cell sampling process.
