FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in that, prior to diagnosing, electromagnetic injector disconnector is connected via conductors and connectors to standard electromagnetic injectors. Engine is started to disconnect injectors by cylinder disconnectors to allow one cylinder to operate for its injector to be diagnosed. Said cylinder is driven to conditions corresponding to 2000 min-1 to inhibit separate injections of diagnosed injector so that throttle valve opening allows maintaining aforesaid engine rpm. Then, actual amount of fuel injected into cylinder is varied to determine, from engine crankshaft rpm variation, the engine output decrease or increase to be compared with preset engine power output obtained for sound injector.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and ease of diagnosing.
