FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: system of synchronous belt drive consists of rounded gear (10) and second gear (300). Rounded gear (10) has tooth surface and at least one linear portion (16). Linear portion (16) is positioned between two arc-shaped sections (14, 15). Arc-shaped portions (14, 15) have constant radius (R1, R2), while the linear portion is of specified length. Second gear (300) has tooth surface and engages the rounded gear by means of endless tooth element (200). The second gear is connected with a rotary load with cyclic fluctuations of torque. The linear portion of the rounded gear is designed to facilitate change of belt length between the gears and to eliminate alternating belt tension caused with cyclic fluctuations of torque. Rounded gear (10) can be attached to a crankshaft of the motor, while second gear (300) can be attached to a camshaft. Rounded gear (10) can have the second linear portion or at least three linear portions. Each linear portion is located between two arc-shaped portions each with constant radius.
EFFECT: elimination of alternate belt tension caused with cyclic fluctuations of torque.
