FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises determining amount of stock removal in one pass of milling cutter transferred equidistant relative to machined surface. Machining is carried out by milling cutter face. Note here that prior to milling, cross section area of removed stock and cutting tangential force in finishing during multipass stock removal are determined. Milling is performed with determined cutting force. Note that milling interval is chosen such that areas of chips cross section in finishing during multipass mulling and single pass milling are equal. Milling cutter may be fed along spiral line relative to machined surface to allow smooth transition from blade body to foot.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and lower labor input.
