FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method of automatic detection of narrow-band signals consists in the following sequence: analogue signal is received and digitised, then there calculated is spectral representation of its parametres function that is compared to noise level threshold value, and according to comparison results there recorded is the fact of narrow-band signal determination. And noise level threshold value is calculated as product of spectral representation component average value and some coefficient.
EFFECT: extension of detector application field for narrow-band signals of random class in additive noises without preliminary knowledge of signals' characteristics and noise parametres.
