FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fabrication of composite-shape parts using arc welding in protective atmosphere, particularly, to production of stamped-welded heads from high-strength martensitic steels "28Х3СНМВФА", "3OХСНВФА", "12Х3ГНМФБА". Heads are specific critical assemblies representing spherical bottoms with cylindrical skirt welded thereto. First, stamping and drawing are performed to produce integral billet from high-strength steel. Cylindrical skirt is detached from spherical bottom. But joint is assembled with welding gap equal to 0.17..0.25 of bottom thickness, as well as welding as with root penetration. Then, annular bulge is built up in the zone of welded joint to produce rectangular section thrust collar therefrom.

EFFECT: reduced labour input, higher strength of target structure.
