FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: structure operated under pressure comprises thin-wall shell, face bases, central tubular element and tubular crossbar. Thin-wall tubular shell is produced thermo mechanically from tubular billet. Tubular element welding edges are made for spigot-and-socket joint. Subassemblies are assembled using said spigot-and-socket joint and welding subassembly elements and subassemblies proper by annular seams to form tubular element. Produced seams are tested to tightness. Seams are made by nonconsumable electrode in automatic argon-arc welding in several passes with feed of filler material at current of 42-45 mA per 1 mm of wall thickness and welding rate of 12-15 m/h. one of face bases is welded to tubular element. Thereafter produced subassembly is welded to second face base. Thin-wall shell is welded to bases. Manual arc welding is used to weld tubular crossbar to face bases. Weld seams are machined and tested for tightness at (0.3+0.5) MPa of internal pressure.

EFFECT: high-quality welded joints.
