FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: used to measure a variable average liquid level in an open reservoir. The method includes preliminary calibration of three atmospheric pressure sensors at the same height, then one of the sensors is installed at a ground station, the second sensor is installed in the first instrumented buoy, and the third sensor is installed in the second instrumented buoy, which are located in the reservoir, with the sensors installed inside buoys, transmit atmospheric pressure readings to the ground station, after which, from the ground station, data from the sensors is transmitted to the server to calculate the value of atmospheric pressure from the difference in the values of atmospheric pressure on the shore and in the reservoir; after determining the atmospheric pressure, the average water level in the reservoir is calculated. The device contains a housing in the form of a buoy, inside of which there is a control board connected to an atmospheric pressure sensor and a battery recharged from a solar panel mounted on the outer wall of the housing, and the control board contains a microcontroller and a transceiver connected by a radio cable to an antenna.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of measuring the water level.
