FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: cable box for telecommunication cables includes casing determining the splice and at least one port having the possibility for passage at least of one telecommunication cable to the box. Box protects optic fibres, fibre optic splices and optic devices, which are located in it. Box is located at splicing point and longitudinally installed in casing. In general, box shape corresponds to some part of round shape of splicing point. Repositioned replaceable support platform is arranged in box in the first position for storage and in the second position for erection and maintenance of fibre optic splices and optic devices arranged in the box. Fibre optic splices and optic devices are installed in splice tray arranged near support platform. In addition, box includes compartment fort multi-tier storage.
EFFECT: invention allows designing convenient cable box providing the operation in field conditions.
