FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organosilicon emulsions which can be used as a binding base for production of face silicon-acrylic water-dispersed enamels and for modifying acrylic emulsions. Disclosed is a silicon emulsion containing the following (vol %):polymethylphenylsiloxane or polyphenylsiloxane resin in form of a solution in an aromatic solvent (30-50), white spirit or ethylcellosolve (10-20), butanol (10-20), water (the rest). The emulsion is a milky liquid without mechanical impurities. The weight ratio of non-volatile substances is less than 18%, relative viscosity at temperature (20±0.5)°C measured using a VZ-246 viscometre with nozzle diameter of 4 mm is not less than 11 s, period for drying degree 3 at temperature (20±2)°C is not more than 1 hour.

EFFECT: wide range of silicon emulsions used as binding base in compositions for obtaining protective coatings.
