FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in direct melting iron containing metal containing charge material for production of melt iron and in continuous teeming melted iron into multitude of ladles upon operation of direct melting. At the first sector of sulphur removal there is carried out periodic desulphurisation of melted iron. Ladles containing desulphurised melted iron are transferred to the second sector of desulphurisation separated from the first sector with space. Slag is removed from melted iron at the second sector; melted iron, released from slag and desulphurised, is discharged from ladles at the second sector of desulphurisation and there is formed a continuous flow of melted iron directed to a teeming installation. Iron, desulphurised at operation of desulphurisation, is cast in order to obtain a solid shape, such as an ingot.

EFFECT: simplified control over transporting liquid iron from sector of ladle filling to sector of teeming; minimised risk of break of continuous flow of materials.
