FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: spatial-time decorrelation of echo-signals and structural noise signal is used along with simultaneous coherent accumulation of echo-signals. To measure bottom echo-signal parameters containing data on article thickness, registered signal should be divided into data bottom echo-signal and structural noise signal. Then, noise should be killed and bottom echo-signal should be separated. In this case ultrasound transducer should vary its position on surface of measured article so that, in its every position, new statistically independent combination of structural inhomogeneity elements originates in ultrasound radiation zone, while all pulses of bottom echo-signal stay mutually coherent.
EFFECT: higher validity and accuracy.
