FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: ultrasonic piezoelectric converter comprises a protector installed in a body, a piezoelectric cell, a damper and outputs connected to a piezoelectric cell. At the same time between the protector and the piezoelectric cell there are two matching layers, one of which is in contact with the piezoelectric cell and is made of a nanocomposite material based on a high-pressure polyethylene, containing iron nanoparticles with volume concentration of 12-25%, the other one - of material with acoustic impedance within the limits of (2.4-5.0)×107 kg/s×m2. At the same time the layer of nanocomposite material is made with the thickness h1, selected from the range of values h1=150f-600f, and the other layer - with thickness h2=720f-1450f. At the same time the protector thickness is h3=165f-1480f ([h1]=[h2]=[h3]=mm, [f]=kHz).

EFFECT: increased efficiency of the piezoelectric converter operation due to increased ratio of the electric signal conversion into an acoustic one, and for increase of information signal capacity that arrives to the receiver.
