FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: for acute intestinal obstruction modelling, an inferior midline laparotomy and intestinal ligation through a laparotomy incision are performed. A soft tube 6 cm long is introduced through anus. The intestines are ligatured with thick ligatures on the tube, and the ligature proximal to anus is ligatured on the tube, while the distal ligature is fixed on the intestine not covering the tube at the distance of 1 cm from the proximal ligature directly at a tube end distal to anus. Thereafter, a mesentery with the vessels feeding the given segment of the intestines is transected.

EFFECT: method allows creating the identical standard conditions for reproducing an acute intestinal obstruction model experimentally to estimate functional and morphological changes of an intestinal wall in different periods of the obstruction due to ligation of the same intestinal segment in all experimental animals that provides introduction of the tube of the equal length.
