SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry and may be used and may be used for removal of fine fractions of catalyst from hot recovery furnace gas of liquid catalytic cracking unit. Tank 50 comprises wall 86 wherein contaminated gas flow inlet 54 and outlet 80b are made. There is also primary stage A of cyclones communicated with inlet 54 with primary first and second tube plates 56a and 74a overlapping inner space, and primary assemblage of separation cyclones 51 to impart centripetal acceleration to contaminated gas flow and discharge particles between relevant first and second tube plates 56a and 74a. Every cyclone has vertical housing 62 with first end 58 attached to first tube plate 56a, and second end 66. First end 58 confines cyclone inlet 60 to receive contaminated has flow. First gas outlet 75 passing through primary second tube plate 56a serves to discharge purified gas flow. There is also secondary stage B of cyclones communicated with first gas outlet 75 and spaced apart from primary stage A. Secondary stage design is similar to that of primary stage.
EFFECT: expanded range of separation of 1 to 50 mcm particles.
