FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming using intensive plastic deformation and is intended for producing ultra fine-grained and nano-crystalline materials with high mechanical properties. Proposed device comprises male die, female die with moving and stationary parts that form vertical and horizontal channels with their lengthwise axes located at angle to each other. One wall of vertical channel is movable and represents a wedge with taper angle varying from 5° to 8° and width defined from relationship: K=B+N/0.2 Hσ0.2, where K is vertical movable wall width, B is female die vertical channel width, N is force created by vertical movable wall to mating surfaces of female die vertical surface, H is sum of female die vertical and horizontal channels height, σ0.2 is yield point of female die and movable vertical wall material. Device comprises appliance to remove vertical tapered movable wall representing vertical extractor and horizontal extractor to generate counter pressure in billet deformation and to extract billet from device.
EFFECT: higher quality and metal utilization factor, reduced process time.
