SUBSTANCE: in one version of a system and a method to detect overload condition, tracking of a DC motor load includes the following: periodical disconnection of electric motor supply; voltage tracking; and measurement of time interval between the moment of start and the moment of end, at the same time the start moment corresponds to the moment of time, when the motor supply is switched off, and the moment of the end corresponds to the moment of time, when the tracked voltage and the reference voltage have substantially one and the same value.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of overload condition detection.
