FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: versions of a drug delivery device by electrotransportation and the method of their application allow to determine whether the current flows between the anode and the cathode when the delivery of the drug by the device is not expected. The device may include a current tripping module to determine that the current (for example, the one which can be determined by measuring the potential difference between the device anode and cathode) flowing between the anode and the cathode is below the threshold value when the drug delivery is not intended.
EFFECT: prevention of unintentional drug delivery or a possibility of warning the user that an unintentional drug delivery may occur.
