SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method to produce compositions of modified asphalt binder, which includes the following: mixing of an asphalt binder, an unsaturated polymer and a phosphorus pentasulfide to produce a modified asphalt composition, in which amount of polymer makes from around 0.5 to around 10 weight parts per 100 weight parts of the asphalt binder, the amount of phosphorus pentasulfide makes from around 0.001 to around 10 weight parts per 100 weight parts of the asphalt binder, when selecting the specified amounts that ensure elastic recovery of the composition of modified asphalt binder by more than 72.5% at 25°C, at the same time the unsaturated polymer and phosphorus pentasulfide are added directly to the asphalt binder without previous mixing of the unsaturated polymer and phosphorus pentasulfide. The invention represents a composition of the modified asphalt binder produced according to the method of invention and an asphalt composition for road surfaces.
