FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for determination of cryolite ratio (CR) (mole ratio NaF/AlF3) by roentgen-fluorescent procedure in electrolytes of electrolysers at production of aluminium with addition of calcium and magnesium. Roentgen-fluorescent procedure for determination of cryolite ratio of electrolyte consists in charting calibrating characteristics for Na, F, Ca, Mg, in electrolyte sampling and in preparation of sample to assay, in changing intensity of fluorescent radiation by Ko, lines of Na, F, Ca, Mg, in determination of concentrations of Na, F, Ca, Mg, and in determination of cryolite ratio by concentrations of Na, F, Ca, Mg. Also, calibrating characteristics are charted by Na, F, Ca, Mg on base of branch standards of composition of electrolysers electrolyte in production of aluminium. There is determined their concentration considering coefficient of matrix influence, value of which is determined by formula
where Z is concentration or intensity of element, Ci is concentration of determined element; N is amount of elements, α, β, δ, γ are factors of correction of matrix effect. Calibrating characteristic for determination of Na is chartered with application of α and β correction for Al, while calibrating characteristic for determination of F is chartered with consideration of superposition of Na and usage of β correction for Al.
EFFECT: upgraded accuracy of determination of cryolite ratio.
