FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: grinding up to 1 mm waste products of thermal insulation portion of aluminium electrolyser containing fluorine, aluminium, sodium and silicon. Leaching is carried out in aqueous medium with pH 6-9 at sodium fluoride concentration of 12-20 g/l in solution. Leaching with water is carried out for 60 minutes at 60°C with observance of G:t = 8:1. After separation of liquid and solid pulp phases from the solution by aluminium sulfate, fluoride salts are extracted. Silicon fluoride precipitate contains sodium not more than 3-4%.

EFFECT: production of chiolite with reduced content of sodium is provided.
