FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food industry. The method for production of vegetable oils enriched with lutein and zeaxanthin diesters involves drying and grinding vegetable raw material; for production of lutein diesters one uses orange-coloured marigold petals; for production of zeaxanthin diesters one uses ornamental groudcherry cups wherein, after drying and grinding, one determines the content of corresponding diesters by a spectrophotometric method, then one performs mixing ground marigold petals and ground ornamental groudcherry cups so that lutein diesters content in relation to zeaxanthin diesters (4-5):1, then one recovers lutein and zeaxanthin diesters from the produced mixture by hot ethanol extraction, removes ethanol remains by drying and adds lutein and zeaxanthin diesters to vegetable oils in amounts sufficient for their content to be 1-10 mg per 100 ml of vegetable oil.
EFFECT: invention allows to produce vegetable oils enriched with lutein and zeaxanthin with extended storage life.
