FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to production of gunpowder, particularly phelgmatisation of pellet and pyroxiline powder. The disclosed gunpowder phlegmatising agent contains the following in wt %: camphor 50-70, dinitrotoluene (DNT) - the rest. In another version, the phlegmatising agent contains the following in wt %: camphor 25-35, centralite 1 25-40, DNT - the rest.
EFFECT: phlegmatisation of pyroxiline powder through treatment with aqueous emulsion of molten camphor, high efficiency and improved temperature stability of ballistic properties of the powder by broadening capabilities of controlling the energy profile of the phlegmatised zone.
