FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: railway traction energy system comprises traction substations with supply feeders, which at every track are connected via breakers to a contact network with isolating air gaps between station-to-station blocks and stations, at each border of station-to-station blocks and stations of both tracks there are blocks of power switching of joint connection of contact networks. Control inputs of breaker drives are connected to according outputs of a breaker logical control unit, to which the following are connected - a unit of current setpoints setting and the first output of a unit for detection of current values and their phases, inputs of which are connected to according outputs of current and voltage sensors, the second output of the unit for detection of current values and their phases is connected to a unit for detection of a short circuit area. The third and fourth outputs of the unit for detection of current values and their phases are connected accordingly with a unit of registration of switching data and time and a unit for recording of a short circuit process, some outputs of which are connected to a communication unit, and their other outputs - to a memory unit connected to a device of data collection and transmission, an output of which is connected with the second input of coupling with communication channels and a modem.

EFFECT: improved power parameters of power supply system and reliability of relay protection.
