FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in recording surface acoustic wave excited in piezo dielectric crystal by electric field. For this piezo dielectric crystal is selected that features not-piezo electric direction. Excited surface acoustic wave is re-reflected in said direction to record output signal amplitude to judge on angular speed. Electric field originating in not piezo-electric direction in rotation makes an informative signal proportional to rotational speed. Proposed device (dwg. 1) comprises piezo electric acoustic line 1 with its material allowing propagation of surface acoustic waves, radiating 2 and receiving 3 interdigital transducers. Note here that acoustic line is made from material that ensures anisotropy of surface acoustic wave properties and wave relation with electric field, while interdigital transducers are arranged on axis aligned with not piezo-electric direction AB.
EFFECT: higher sensitivity, simplified design.
