FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in recording surface acoustic wave excited in piezo dielectric crystal by electric field. For this piezo dielectric crystal is selected that features not-piezo electric direction. Excited surface acoustic wave is re-reflected in said direction to record output signal amplitude to judge on angular speed. Electric field originating in not piezo-electric direction due to Coriolis force in rotation makes an informative signal proportional to rotational speed. Proposed device comprises piezo electric acoustic line 1 with its material allowing propagation of surface acoustic waves, radiating 2 and receiving 3 interdigital transducers. Not piezo-electric direction id acoustic line is designated by AB.
EFFECT: higher sensitivity, simplified design.
