SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of screening population of plants or parts of plants for presence of species in them that show disturbed colour of surface caused by damage compared to a reference plant or a part of a plant. The method includes getting populations of plants or parts of plants from a population; when required, creation of damage surface on plants or parts of plants; incubation of a plant or parts of a plant, or damage surfaces formed on them prior to appearance of colour disturbances in them or on them. Further they monitor disturbance of damage surfaces colour either in plants or in parts of plants, and the observed disturbance of colour is compared to disturbance of colour observed in a reference plant or a part of a plant to identify plants or parts of plants that show absence of colour disturbance or colour disturbance, which is reduced compared to a reference plant and a part of a plant.

EFFECT: solution helps to produce plants and their posteriors resistant to post-harvest disturbances in process of processing.
