FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: coating consisting of underlayer and at least one protective layer is applied to surface of some part of protected elements. Underlayer consists of material which is not so hard as basic protective coating and not so hard as oxide of structural material. Then, protective layer or layers from material with microhardness equal to or exceeding microhardness of structural material are sprayed. Transition area is formed of the underlayer introduced to the base between underlayer and the main material. Coating underlayer can be made by means of vacuum ionic-plasma arc method, and layers of basic coating are made by means of magnetron method. The composition of the coating can include alloys, nitrides, oxides of such elements as Cr, Al, Zr, Ti, W, Mo, Ni, Nb all together or in combinations. Transition zone thickness is not more than hundreds of nanometres.
EFFECT: high adhesion of coating to protected surface of in-core elements.
