FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery, and can be used in carrying out surgical treatment in patients with extended peritonitis (EP). For this purpose while carrying out current relaparotomy before performing sanitation of abdominal cavity sampling of peritoneal exudate in amount 1 ml is carried out. After that flow fluorescent cytometry is performed, with determination of number of microorganisms in exudate. If in 1 mcl of exudate more than 1000 microorganisms are detected, carrying out further sanitation stage relaparotomy (SSR) is considered indicated. If in 1 mcl of exudate less than 1000 microorganisms are detected, carrying out further sanitation stage relaparotomy (SSR) is not considered indicated.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to elaborate adequate tactics of surgical treatment of patients with EP and ensure possibility of immediate taking decision about tactics of further treatment in course of surgery due to increased accuracy of objective estimation of EP course severity.
