FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to surgery, and can be used to determine the need for repeated relaparotomy in the patients with diffuse peritonitis. Following signs are determined: non-resolved enteral insufficiency syndrome (EIS) for 72 hours after the operation; organ failure on the SOFA scale more than 2 points within 48–72 hours after the operation; abdominal pain and / or pathological symptoms 48–72 hours postoperatively; intraabdominal hypertension 20 and more mm Hg 48–72 hours after the operation; infectious complications in the field of surgical intervention, each of 5 signs is assigned 1 point and if the total number of points in the examination of patient is 3 or more, the decision on the repeated emergency surgery is made.
EFFECT: method enables objectively selecting an adequate approach to the patient, which helps to reduce the number of postoperative complications and recurrences.
