FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to maxillofacial surgery and can be also used in ophthalmology and otolaryngology. Essence of method lies in introduction into infraorbital space of endoprosthesis, which contains plate. Plate has oval shape and is connected by means of post with support strip in which holes for screws are made. On its end plate opposite post has hollow, necessary for passing of orbital nerve. Before introduction plate is bent with respect to post in order to determine angle of curve. Before introduction of endoprosthesis spiral computer tomography of eye sockets is performed and displacement of eyeball down and back is determined. If displacement equals 2-4 mm, plate is bent at angle 105°, if displacement is 5-6 mm, at - 110°, if displacement is 7-8 mm - 120°. Endoprosthesis is manufactured from solid or perforated titanium, support post during installation is modelled by lower edge of eye socket.
EFFECT: application of claimed invention makes it possible to eliminate bone defects of lower wall of eye socket and enophthalmos, correct position of eyeball due to plate located at specified angle.
