FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to maxillofacial surgery, ophthalmology and otolaryngology and can be applied in treatment of fractures and deformations of eye-socket walls. Method consists in introduction of endoprosthesis in form of silicone wire-reinforced plate into suborbital space. Silicone plate has rough surface. Reinforcing wire passes through plate in transverse direction. Ends of wire protrude from lateral plate surfaces for 2-3 mm and are bent in form of hooks. Plate is introduced through puncture in skin at the level of lower edge of eye-socket with rough surface facing bone wall of eye-socket.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to obtain greater stability of plate due to rough surface, as well as protruding wire hooks, which in its turn, prevents possibility of its migration.
