FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and is intended for testing driver's reaction of immediate halt. Tested person is shown on video monitor screen a vehicle which is moving at specified speed on straight way and an obstacle whose position is set randomly on way part from Rmin to Rmax. Obstacle is shown at the moment, when vehicle reaches point which is at distance R from beginning of way which is calculated depending on specified time t, necessary for visual-motor reaction of perception of appearing obstacle and pressing of brake pedal. Tested person, seeing obstacle, performs immediate halt, pressing brake pedal. After start of braking tested person is shown evenly slowed motion of vehicle until its stop. Minimal specified time t, during which tested person did not have crashes of vehicle with obstacles is used to make conclusion about driver's reaction of immediate halt.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to test driver's individual reaction of immediate halt due to random change of obstacle in process of testing.
