FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to ophthalmology. In treatment laser infrared transpupillar thermotherapy is used. Parameters of impact are as follows: wavelength 810 nm, irradiation spot diameter 2-3 mm, irradiation power 200-400 mW, exposure 1.0-1.5 minutes. Impact is performed directly on optic nerve disc and peripapillar retina.
EFFECT: method ensures increase of visual acuity due to improved conductivity of nerve fibres of optic nerve, reduction of treatment course, which in its turn, ensures improvement of functional outcome of amblyopia treatment.
